My Story...

My inspiration for starting Senior Surf came from supporting my mum, helping her to connect with family and friends online.

We had some humorous moments getting started, but once she was up and running, it was great to see how much joy and fulfilment being online brought to her life. It gave me particular pleasure helping her set up FaceTime and knowing that we could now see each other on calls when we wanted to, not just when I visited her.

Since helping my mum, I have given support to friends, neighbours and relatives, helping them bring to life online what is important to them, such as shopping, banking and social media.

In 2019 I took on a role to help launch Stackcare in the UK, a monitoring system for seniors living alone. Hearing stories from our customers and their families about struggles with online experiences helped me decide to use my experience and expertise to help others, so I set up Senior Surf. I believe that the internet and mobile technology offer a real lifeline for many older people, keeping them in touch with the outside world, their family and friends, and I really enjoy helping seniors understand the full potential of life online.

I am a good listener, patient, calm, and I work at a pace and style that suits my clients. My career background is in retail fraud prevention, so the importance of safety and security are always at the front of my mind. I understand that technology can sometimes be intimidating and a little frustrating for people, so I am here to help make things simple and straightforward for you.
